How many participants attend each tour ??

In general, we have 6-8 participants with one tour leader and 12-14 with two tour leaders. Our Luxury tour have a maximum of 6 people.

Do you organize international flights ?

For international flights, we will offer you the best recommendations we can find. However, booking international flights to and from Portugal are of your responsability.

What's included/not included on your tours ?

We set out on each tour description page exactly what is and isn't included in the price. Accomodation, transportation and guidance are always included. Please be aware that there is a 2 euro tourist fee per night that is never included in our tours as well as alcoholic drinks, telephone calls or any mini-bar item in your hotels. These are not included.

Do you cater for special diets ?

Yes. Just let us know your requirements and we will pass them on to the hotel where you are staying.

Are all tours and workshops guaranteed to run?

We have to wait for every tour or workshop to reach the viable number before confirming the tour will take place. You will be notified when the tour is viable and at this stage you will need to arrange your travel.

What photographic equipment do I need to attend a tour or workshop?

This depends on the type of tour. A full recommended equipment list would be emailed to all participants 8 weeks before the tour commences. Please email the office with any queries before that time.

Will I have to share a room with someone if I am a solo traveller?

Tours are usually based on double occupancy. Rates for single room will always be given you to as an option.

Do i need to take Travel and Medical Insurance ?

Yes. Travel and Medical insurance is mandatory for all Portugal Photo Tours trips. Domestic government medical insurance and private health schemes will not cover you in most overseas countries. Portugal Photo Tours recommends World Nomads for your travel and medical insurance. You may take other coverage, of course, but you must be adequately insured before participating in our tours. Please check the terms of the policy carefully, particularly the limits of cover (eg. for replacement of photographic equipment, baggage loss etc) and the procedure for making claims (most policies stipulate that claims must be made within a certain time after completion of your journey).
